Captain Spaulding Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 Time to get started on my next build, doing AMT/Ertl's 1962 Ford Thunderbird. I've had this kit since 2006 when I got it in a 4 pack that Walmart was selling during Christmas. Built the engine, but that was as far as I got before moving on to something else. Gonna pull it apart and paint it Ford engine blue, will look better than the blue I did it in years ago.
David G. Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 One of my favorite T-Bird body styles. Great start on the engine. David G.
JollySipper Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 Are you familiar with the fit issues with this kit? If not, you'll want to read through this thread...... He does a real good job showing how to deal with them.......

JollySipper Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 Not a problem! I would have hated to see you do all that work to have it fight you at the end...... This is a really good kit, though........ 1
Captain Spaulding Posted May 24, 2022 Author Posted May 24, 2022 Got the engine pulled apart and repainted in Ford Blue, looks better than the color I used on it years ago. 1

Captain Spaulding Posted June 1, 2022 Author Posted June 1, 2022 Got the interior painted and assembled, black doesn't photograph too good with my phone at least but I'm happy with how it came out. Body was painted on the weekend, gonna let it sit a few more days before I start doing anything with it.
David G. Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Nice detail painting. Are those decals on the gauges? David G.
