Bugatti Fan Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 (edited) Now that the magazine is back on track, how about the possibility of marketing a CD Rom of the first 200 issues. And then at each hundred after. Or maybe make available on a USB jump drive or SD card? Kalmbach marketed CD roms of Scale Auto magazine in the past. It offered a good catchup and resource for many. Many of us only got to start getting the MC magazine long after it was established.. Perhaps a collaboration with the Model Car Builders Museum in Sandy Utah might be feasable as they probably hold copies right from issue 1. Edited May 27, 2022 by Bugatti Fan 1
OldNYJim Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Great idea! I'd buy it! I never picked up the Scale Auto one - apparently it didn't work right on a Mac, and I've had Macs for years, so...but I would've if it had worked!
Dave Ambrose Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 We've considered it. There are some technical hurdles that turn it into a major project for us. But we are thinking about how to make our older content available.
ToddModelCrazy Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 I think DVDs of the collection would be fabulous. Especially if they were PRINTABLE. I'm still trying to find a print version of Issue 80 to compete my Model Cars Magazine collection. Thanks and best wishes, Todd
