Thanks Carl I’ve done as much as I can until my paint cures and I’m not sure how long it’s going to take. I’m going to build the Revell kit I have enough parts to build it so I’m going to build the car that made me to decide that I wanted a Rx-7 in the first place. It was the first gen version that I liked and made my mind up that someday I would buy one. It took me a couple years before I was able to and I actually liked the second gen better than the first gen style.

I like the wheels. Where did you get them, are they 3d printed?

Look for: oleks-dmitr from Diolex Production on ebay, such a nice ukranian guy that always have some nice stuff

Hope someday can come and visit the island, we love it and usually are well care taken. Someone casually just post on the local fb marketplace

Thanks based on the wheels on the one in the picture it’s a 1984 Rx-7. Nice!

I’ve finished this one up now and putting it in under glass.

Very nice!   One of my favorites :)   Have you seen the recently released Hasegawa first generation cars?

I have a '85 that is a clone of my first car.

I just now run across this thread and recently saw this video on YouTube. I had never seen the spoilers factory installed like your car has, but it seems they were sold that way in the USA. I would assume those were put on at the port facilities when the vehicles were offloaded from Japan. In another time I worked with a company at a port facility that did nothing but installations like those. often up though the late 1980s unique trim models that only existed in a given country were merely vehicles that had a set of identical accessories added to a base car. I think the front spoiler especially suits the RX-7 shape. Lovely model of a lovely car.

Thanks

Thanks Jonathan. I have not seen the Hasegawa kit yet. I like your Rx-7 it’s what my first color choice was when I was looking for my Rx-7 but in ‘83 the GSL was a red metallic not the solid red like yours so I went with black.

Thanks Michael. I had my dealership install the rear spoiler and I had a body shop install the front air dam and driving lights on.

As sad as it is the car was ruined by accident, it looked it's best when it was here. May you find another someday.
