Has anyone here taken two of the AMT Snap Fast Dodge Ram 2500/4500 and stretched them to a club cab? If so, how did you do it and do you have a tread here that shows the proses on how you did it? Along with pictures of the completed truck?

Thank You

This will work the same for the two AMT cabs, but I used a Revell VTS cab for the front part so I could have the open hood and engine. The next pic is after the first coat of primer. It's not finished yet, so no completion pics.

Cool. Thank You. How are you planning on building this up? I’ll be following along.

I have a thread somewhere here, but it’s on the backlog of builds for now! I’m building it as a 2001 2500 4x4 club cab long box, with the V10-manual combo and the Sport trim package. I’m cheating a bit by modifying a Meng F-350 chassis and suspension/axles to go under the body. Axles were close to the same, both had a coil front end, and they had the front diff on the same side.

Be warned on the AMT snapper, if yours is molded in red, its the fun kind that likes to bleed through primer and paint. A sealer is a must. Some of the Ram kits were molded in black, a little easier to work with.

Awesome. Do you remember what you named the thread?

I’m actually using one of each, for mine. Mine is going to be a ‘97 Ram 3500 Club Cab. I’m trying to decide if I want to try to strategically stretch the frame, or cut out everything except the suspension, and probably keep the fuel tank as well. I just need to find a nice set of dually wheels for it.

There’s the thread, that’s right it is a 2000. I actually changed my wheel and tire plan, I’m now going with the stock 2500 wheels and a set of the large Yokohama mud tires from the off-road version of the Tamiya Montero.

Thank You. I can’t wait to see how yours is going to look all nice and completed. You gave me the idea to get my own Ram VTS, so that I could have a detailed engine bay, and put in a V10 or a 360 V8.

what color are you going to be painting yours? Mine will be dark chestnut and black, waterfall type, with the brown on the top half.

The red one was the stock 3500 dually and the black one was the 1500 long bed.

I’m going Intense Blue Pearl, already have the can from Duplicolor!

Sweet. I wouldn’t mind doing a ‘97 Club Cab 2500 long box like that.

Red one was the 3500 and the black one was the 2500. I just need to figure out how I’m going to do the chassis.
