Veteran CNN Anchor Bernard Shaw Passes Away at 82.

He was one of the very first anchors at CNN when the network broke ground as the first to bring cable news to the masses way back in 1980. He was heavily involved in the reporting of the 1991 Persian Gulf War or "Operation Desert Storm" in the conflict's opening hours.

He was one of the best, along with his cnn colleagues of that era. It will be hard to aim the ship of today’s journalism back to that level of quality.

Anyway, he was a good guy, a real news guy, and a credit to the profession.
