Decided on doing another Diamond Reo. For some reason these and their Autocar cousins are my favorites. This one will probably end up mostly box stock. Plans include opening cab doors and atleast one of the sleeper doors. Debating on either blue and white two tone or box art green.

   Seth ,

that is a nice kit. But not without the old AMT problems . Old molds etc . But it can be built up real nice with a bit of care !

I just finished this kit. I could not put on the mud flaps on the fenders on hood because when you lower hood they land right on the battery boxes. that is one of many problems.

Modified the the interior bucket since i opened the doors up, got everything painted and assembled.  I tried to mimic the box art color scheme but add a little cb radio i made out of scrap materials.

Got more work done. Added these little plastic hinges to the front mudflaps so they can move when opening the hood.

I made new doors panels to match the box art ones. Also made a headliner, visors, and interior bunk panels to match

Nice work,  especially the hinged fender extension

Looking forward to your interior updates

Biggest gripe i have w these trucks is the curved thick glass , looks completely odd when installed almost like bug eyes

Got this one wrapped up. Made interior panels for the bunk to match the cabs interior. I sanded off the 5th wheel plate guides so i could shift it back a little bit, shaved down the pass through, and modified the exhaust to allow the sleeper to sit closer to the cab. This is the first time ive done a vehicle to match the box art.
