tim42 Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 Following the history of the car on the box, basic streetcar when first raced, then used another race Camaro for the chassis combined the two. A fair amount trimming and cutting was done. The rear valence didn't get back on because the chassis is diecast and the fuel cell sticks out too far. The trunk doesn't close right now. I have fiddle with the fuel filler to get it to close. 3
Bruce Scully Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Nice work on both of these, they look great .
tim42 Posted October 30, 2022 Author Posted October 30, 2022 Lost track that I joined this site. Thanks for the kind words. The car on the right is box stock Acme model. This is a 1967 street Camaro. It could be from a Highway 61 mold. The other one features the Acme body and the engine/chassis is from a GMP 1967 Heinrich Chevy-land Camaro. Lots of grinding on the body and trimming on the chassis. Currently working on a 1966 Trans Am Mustang using a Motor Max 1962 1/2 Mustang for the body and an Acme Charlie Kemp GT-350 for the chassis. The Motor Max is under $50.00. It's the only hard top model I've found. The hard top is plastic and comes off. Great for fitting the interior from the GT-350. Photos coming to the WIP section.
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Checking out the dual Holly carbs on one of the cars. Wow. Both are sharp.
TransAmMike Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Missed this post. Good looking TransAm Camaros!!
