My HP which was updated to Win11 has decided to display everything huge on the screen. I have tried updating the graphics drivers removing them and reinstalling them, removing the last two Windows updates, etc and still no solution. I did read that Windows 11 and AMD seems to have issues, lucky me.

Any ideas?

are there 3 dots showing on the right end of the address bar near the star? if there is click them and it will give you the option to return the screen to 100% size

My new computer has Windows 11. It doesn't seem to allow putting the taskbar along the left side of the screen, where I prefer it. Also can't seem to change the clock from the lower right corner to the lower left, where I'm used to seeing it.

I have a couple of years old HP laptop with the AMD Ryzen 5 processor that I updated to Win11 last year with no issues, so I don't think its a chip issue.

Is yours a desktop or laptop?

I've never seen a windows clock on the right, that's new to me!

As for the toolbar, easy peasy.

Desktop. I had no issues until last week.

I was just wondering about the display diff, as my laptop only has a 17".

There is a "custom scaling" setting in the display settings. You try that?

I don't want to shift the taskbar to the left--that's easy. I want to have the taskbar running up and down on the left side of the screen, the way I had it in Windows 8. Running across the top of the screen would also be acceptable.

After I read your post in Computer Help I understand what you meant. Its been so long since I saw that setup I forgot about it.

Evidently AMD Ryzen and Windows 11 doesn't always play nice. Had to go through troubleshooting, uninstall drivers, updates and then a restore point. I just love Microsoft...

So, still not the same or ideal but if I upload the AMD drivers it all goes wonky, so I'm using the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.  Aaaaarrrrgggghhhh.

Meanwhile, I figgered out a hack to solve my problem.

When I really want the icons along the left side, it's because I'm rapidly switching between two apps. I figgered out if I sized one of the screens wider and the other taller, I could overlay them in a "cross"pattern and quickly switch between the two by clicking in the respective upper left or upper right corners. B):D
