Arkgene Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 I am looking at the Fujimi garage and tool kits and was wondering if anyone on here had built the kit? Is it good, is it easy or hard to build, is it worth the price or anything else you can think of. Also how big is it I can't seem to find that out. I am building a 74 Ford Lightning and a 66 Fairlane GTA and the auto trailer and was wanting to build up a garage for them and was wondering if the Fujimi kit would fill the bill so to speak.
Plowboy Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 (edited) You have to watch those sets. Make sure you note which word is highlighted on the box. It may have garage and tools on box. But, it will only have one or the other. I bought one that has the lift and tools. But, never have built it. They are 1/24 scale. Edited November 4, 2022 by Plowboy
TonyK Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 I've built the garage and tools kit and it's maybe 12 x 8 inches or so. Not big enough to put a vehicle in. Otherwise it's a very nice little diorama with 2 walls and 2 clear plastic sides. LOTS of tools and the biggest task is painting them all. Fun little kit to display an engine or car related parts and maybe put a couple of figures in there working on something.
tbill Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Give this a look, ( if the link works), I still have not finished this, but it’ll give you a rough idea of shop size and the kits I used, hope it helps.
Arkgene Posted November 18, 2022 Author Posted November 18, 2022 Thanks to everyone that replied to me. I do know that the boxes may say one thing and contain something a little different and about the tools being in the one. Gus it was the dame way in the 50's when I built my first model car. Some things never change.
BubbaBrown Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Worked on one a couple decades ago, I don't know what kind of mold release they use but if it ain't really clean it will give you fits. I ended up washing with alcohol and then doing a normal wash with dawn.
