Matt Bacon Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 ...got one of these for a very good price on the 'Bay. Would like to do a Bullitt Mustang, natch (68ish fastback). I'm not sure I can be bothered to add 2mm in length and 1.5mm in width to the body, but before I go old school, has anyone done a grille and scoops in resin that I could cheat with? OTOH, it looks like a very easy mod to do, and the patinated look of the relatively newly rediscovered original will cover a lot of sins... best, M.
Dave Van Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Not sure what you are asking. The movie Bullitt car is a `968 which share zero sheet metal with the 65/66 body. If you are just wanting to build a 'Bullitt Style' 65 then build it stock, green with 5 spoke wheels. No scoops on hood or side vents.
Oldcarfan27 Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 You have to use the AMT 67 Mustang GT or the Revell 68 to even come close to the movie car. Now if you're looking to make a (semi) famous dark green 65 Mustang, there was a TV show in the 80s called "Spenser for Hire"....
