The order I placed with Shapeways in June is still showing the same level of progress it has for the past two month, so I wouldn't read too much into that.  Maybe they're hoping people will still try to send them money, or maybe nobody is around to shut the server off.  Interesting that the forum and the investors page are the only two parts of the website that don't work.

With Shapeways reopening will you be doing business with them again and have your Javelin engine compartment be made again?

thanks for your interest.

I got an announcement by Shapeways just yesterday that they want to restart the business. I'll check the site, the prices and everything else what may be of interest and then decide. If anything seems ok I think I will put up my shop again.

Very nice items. What program are you using to create them? I'm struggling with Fusion 360.

Jim, I'm using CREO. Simply because I use it at work as well and am used to it.

I just checked the Shapeways site. The page is running again, but all our users and shops, the complete marketplace are gone. They don't offer the opportunity to set up a shop currently, I only could upload files to have them printed for myself. Quote from their website:

"All marketplace data was lost in the bankruptcy, and the software we were able to acquire is outdated and not scalable. This is a big loss for Shapeways and our community. We are actively seeking alternative solutions and we humbly ask for your patience and support as we do so."

So we will see what happens, and when...
