  1. Nice! My daughter was the first jr girl to win at the Toledo NNL in 2000. It makes you feel good when your kids do well!
  2. I love this build. Many years ago I built a slant-6 Challenger just because I didn't want to build a 440 or Hemi Challenger like everyone else.
  3. Sorry guys, I wish I had better news. I've talked with him several times and even offered to bring the printer to my house to get the orders out, he's just in a bad place mentally and physically right now. I wish he hadn't named it "Bros" because my name gets a black mark even though I have no part of the business. I've also offered to update the website with no luck. I also know the resin fumes have affected his eyes and the skin on his hands and he can't look at a computer screen or the TV for more than a few minutes, so he's not printing anything and at some point is considering offering the parts through a printing house like Shapeways. That's the last information I have. None of this excuses not responding or refunding orders but I have never seen him like this. I don't even come here much anymore because I know there will be complaints (deservedly) and it hurts to see how he has failed those of you that placed orders.
  4. Guys, I hate to beat a dead horse but Chris has had another setback, this time almost losing a toe due to dropping a dump truck tailgate on his foot. So with all that's going on, he's having a seriously hard time getting your orders fulfilled. I don't think there are many left to do but he assured me that you WILL get your parts if you haven't been refunded or cancelled, it will just take a while longer. Again, I am not part of the business or you'd already have your stuff. All I can do is pass on the info to and from. Dealing with our dad's passing and Chris's physical issues have really put him in a bad spot and I suggested that he update his website to let people know he's not taking orders right now. I hope this at least clears up the situation.
  5. Chris doesn't use Facebook. I should say he hasn't used it in almost a year since he posted the last round of Bronco parts. He has had a lot of trouble with his vision over the last several months due to the resin printing materials and fumes, something he didn't catch right away so it has affected his communication.
  6. Hey guys, I'm not gluhead, that's Chris. The business is all his, I have no involvement in it. I will take a moment to apologize to you for him, he has had a pretty rough go of it since our dad passed away on June 3rd and he has also had some vision problems due to the resin printing materials and fumes as well. Don't do this stuff without good ventilation! I don't think he has been on his computer for weeks, unfortunately, due to this and I already let Jonathan know that I will contact him. Dad's death hit him a lot harder than it has me but I will do what I can to help. Guys - I hate to keep apologizing for Chris's lack of communication, but he is having some real difficulties right now and I will suggest that he temporarily stop taking orders until he gets that cleared up.
  7. Bill, just remember that not all the files you see are accurate. I've bought a few that had serious flaws even though the files looked good on the websites. I'm not experienced enough to be able to fix them yet but it's one of my goals.
  8. Guys, I know Chris appreciates all of your patience. I spoke to him yesterday and he said he had a huge backlog from the new product sales and is finally getting through it. He has also purchased a second printer that he's getting dialed in to help with time issues. I will also tell you that he is unfortunately not great at communications and sometimes doesn't even look at his computer for days. He will freely admit that. It's not good business but it is what it is and everyone will get their products. He doesn't do that to disrespect anyone and I'm not making excuses for him, as his brother I'm just telling you how it is. As much as I would like to help him with these communications, I have my own responsibilities to deal with and this is exactly why I said when he released the new products that there could be lengthy delays so expect it to take a while. He is a one man shop and he spends all his time working on orders and new products. Most of you have received your parts by now I think, and I'm hoping the quality makes up for the communication issues.
  9. I realize I am probably being a old "get off my lawn!" fogey but I don't care about the video announcements. I want to READ about them, not waste my bandwidth with video streams.
  10. Olson Bros website - NEW Bronco/Truck parts Guys, get them now and avoid a long wait. Plan on a few weeks delivery time anyway, possibly a little longer depending on how many orders come in. I have to hand it to 'lil bro, he really went all-out on these and here are just a few pics of what's available now. -EXPECT SHIPPING DELAYS!- Also, if you have communication issues, shoot me a note and I'll see what's up.
  11. Something this covid issue is teaching me is patience, in all areas. We're so used to getting things quickly, including information, but I'm finding that it's not that simple anymore. So many people have so many things happening in their lives right now that people are overwhelmed and it's causing a ripple effect down the chain. Especially restaurants, grocery stores and medical offices. Bare shelves are still a thing while the supply chain is still partially paralyzed. I send one prescription to Canada due to the extremely high cost here and it took over a month for them to receive it via postal mail. And still it will take 4-6 weeks to get it instead of the 2-4 weeks it used to take. I've been saving my model stuff for future use because of the prices of kits and paint these days. Instead, I've gone back to building & repairing guitar amps which is my second major hobby and was a second income at one time.
  12. By the way, he has some really, really cool items soon to be released.
  13. I'm glad you and Chris connected, I know he has been super busy and sometimes has issues with communication. I don't know what the specifics were though, I am only part of the operation by sibling genetics and have no involvement with the inner workings. He uses me to bounce ideas off and share new product ideas., that's about it.
  14. We met Rodger back in the 90s, very nice guy! We went to the Mall of America on vacation and stopped at his shop on the way back home. At the time he was the town postmaster too and there were a few dozen mailboxes in the old school building where his shop was. I wish I had taken pictures now.
  15. Sorry Kris, I didn't see this until just now. I would love to have gone but things aren't working out for travel for me right now and Chris has been slammed with orders. I wanted to go, I'm going stir-crazy having been working from home since March of last year and not wanting to be around people much right now. lol!
  16. Also, the frame on the Chevelle Z16 kit is a better representation and would fit this kit too. Separate suspension and exhaust makes it a definite yes for me. I'm sure there are others too, I just happen to have this one.
  17. Just got my hardtops yesterday and the roof actually looks like the one on my real car! Score! lol The vent window frame is slanted back a little too far and the window is way too small. It's easy enough to fix I guess but they should have gotten it right the first time.
  18. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the chassis the same as the original kit? If that's the case it would be a poorly-fitting chassis and could use an upgrade. One that comes to mind would be the '65 Chevelle Z16, or maybe one of the 66-67 GTO frames. In any case it'll need some modification.
  19. Not the 401, the Nailhead is a completely different style of engine when compared to the 225/300/340. I've had all three over the years in real '64/65 Skylarks (someone put a 340 in one of my '65s) and it wouldn't look right.
  20. Just thought I'd throw this out there for you Scout II owners: https://www.resincastmodelparts.com/store/Scout-II-c110540151
  21. That looks like a decent kit, but just nit-picking the opening in the hood is too far back. It would never open without hitting the scoop on the real thing, plus it makes it look like the engine istoo far forward. The headlights do give it a frog-look by sticking out like that but otherwise it is cool.
  22. Sorry guys, I own a real '64 Skylark. I should have made that clear. My original '64 (my first car) in primer and my current car in the garage.
  23. I have a '64 Skylark that I'm restoring and have had several of them over the years so that stood out to me immediately. I have not, however, had the AMT kits, just the Revell Z-16 kit to compare and the Z-16 roof has a lot of issues. What's funny is they got the vent window right.
  24. They fixed the C-pillar! The one on the Chevelle Z-16 kit (they have the same roof) is wrong. Now I don't have to correct that one for my Skylark. Ugh, the vent window doesn't angle back like that. Well, it's a better starting point.
