chris chabre Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 hey guys If this doesn't belong here, please move it. I just picked up a 67 Eldorado promo, but now I want to either find a 67 Johan kit for the custom pieces. Being that they're hard to find, was there anyone that produced them? Also, how far off is the Johan 70 Eldorado since those seem to be everywhere
Mark Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 If the '67 is in decent shape, I'd keep it stock and customize a '70. I don't think the custom parts changed all that much. If you are set on customizing the '67, best bet would be to watch eBay for a '67 box with leftover parts included. It's a long shot, but it is what it is. I've never heard of a caster doing custom parts from old kits, other than items adaptable to other cars (wheels, skirts, grilles, etc). 2
keyser Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 I’d agree with Mark. 67 is a one year mold. Has wipers on cowl. 68-on had hidden wipers. 70 kits not too hard to find, and far cheaper. Not much change in parts like Mark said. 1

I'm not well versed on the Eldorado like I am other bodystyles. my goal is to have one stock/one custom and the promo I ended up with is VERY clean. Thank you!!! 1

I know it's not based on the stock FWD chassis as there's no way those wheels would fit on the FWD suspension. Very cool car BTW. And I'm also going to be doing a custom Eldo, just waiting for the parts I sent out for plating to come back in a month or two. ?

It came with an 80s front clip attached to the subframe that extended to past the doors and I made the back half from 2x4 1/4 wall
