Dale361 Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 Hello folks. I'm tapping into the enormous knowledge of info about resin and/or printed items that all of you possess. A Timken F-30 series rear, or sometimes front axle housing. I 'think' it was used by Ford from 1934 to about 1952 in their 1 1/2-ton trucks? I scratch built one long enough ago as to not be able to remember how I made it. Does anyone know if one is available in 1/24th or 1/25th? I just attempted to make one but the arthritis in my hands had other plans. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Fat Brian Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 Is it one of the Timken clamshell axles? I've seen something close in 1/35 scale but I would love to have them in 1/25.
Dale361 Posted January 29, 2023 Author Posted January 29, 2023 That's it! I've got them all around in 1/35th also. So many uses in 1/25th. I'm surprised someone hasn't put one out there.
Oldmopars Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 So, would just the center section be good? With a hole through it for brass, aluminum or styrene tube? This would be easy. 1

The flange with the bolts is 14" in diameter or close enough to it. 1
Oldmopars Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 (edited) Something about like this? Edited January 31, 2023 by Oldmopars
Dale361 Posted January 31, 2023 Author Posted January 31, 2023 It's absolutely amazing what you guys can do with a computer and printers. Looks dead on to me. .

Oldmopars Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 It is now in the hands of the mighty Charles at Texas 3D Customs. 1
Texas_3D_Customs Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 So to let you guys know I have ordered some 3.5mm brass tuning this will be optional to buy but I am making the model fit that tube and need it first for testing. Any 3.5mm OD tube will work but when I get it I will print test and release when proper. 1 1
