Foundering not but foundered.

I can't believe this! A contest within ten minutes of me! Are any of the forum going to be there?

Post your truck mockups.

Well, starting my build. Began with an AMT Snow Plow kit. Front axle and rear winch are Kit Form Services items. Wheels and tires are from my PRIZED Scenes Unlimited stash. Not modeling a real truck. Just letting my imagination flow (having fun!). Was thinking of a rear spade like tanks use in recovery operations. Maybe a welder and tanks mounted behind the cab. I scratch built the front bumper and winch. Throw me some ideas! -

Holy Cow! Your replica and the real build. Incredible. Wish I had the skill shown in both builds... -
Good evening, Mr. Rowley. Your present build is another work of art! Thanks for sharing it with us. Hey, just wanted to let you know about some reference I came by that you may already be aware of or may not. I just picked up David Doyle's 'The GMC CCKW Truck in U.S. Service'. #80002. 504 pages and 22 or 23 are of the airborne CCKW. Incredible detail of the truck being made and loaded into C47's and C46's. Couldn't help to think of you and your build when I saw this. Anyway, as always, I appreciate you sharing your projects. If I remember right, it's out of a Ford Courier Pickup Truck. -
You knocked Something Different out of the park! Love it!

Thanks guys!

Thanks everyone! Alan, that would look cool! My old building days included reference pictures taken by my old Minolta camera. I would go to our local drag strip and walk the 'pits' and take pictures. And I had LOTS of pictures! I always got into the cars that smaller racers ran. Ones that I could picture my simple self wrenching on. I think that's where I aimed this build at. It's all fun!

Thanks, guys! Jeff, I really don't remember much. Well, parts box wheels and tires and I think it was built right after Monogram released that awesome 1970 Mustang.

Thanks everyone! Means a lot!

I don't remember the decal provider. Been a LONG time ago. I do remember the engine is the 427 SOHC from a Willy's kit. And the carbs are Johan. I inserted plastic dowl into them.

Been away for quite some time from building. Made myself sit down and start a model. This is from my past.

I've been away from building for over 25 years. Only recently have I made time to sit down and build. This is an old build from my past. Wanted to share it with you. Haven't entered a contest in over 30 years. This gives me the same feeling. Thanks!
