Way back in the days of Yore (the 60s mostly0 I used to wait in Great Anticipation for the newest edition of CARtoons magazine! I'd pore over the pages of art until the covers were falling off... I still have a couple of my old issues even today, and that is where I got my Icon Temple Mc Flathead. Today I have the tools to make create my own funnies so I said to myself... Self, Let's see what my fellow CAR toonists can come up with.  So come along and show us what vehicle funnies make you chortle or LOL, in today's vernacular. Below is my first submission hot off the pixel pounder.

Enjoy!  Join in!

My favorite was Rudy Hogg & his hired hand (the pig) with everything from the garden tiller all the way up to Combines with blown engines, big slicks, extreme headers showing exhaust gasses & heat waves from finishing chores!!

Also liked Unk & the varmits!

The only one I can still find, done about 1964 by me.  I usually did tee-shirts in marker pen.  This was from study hall, with ballpoint, not a good choice for expressive line work!  From the Italian Swiss Colony Wine commercials on TV (Gallo Bros) 'The little old wine maker, me!'    Wick

Oh, re: my silly wierdo: I'm sorry I forgot to blot out the Nazi symbols; in those days I was very naive, I guess.  Hope no one is offended!!! Sorry!

I still have my Big Daddy Roth tee "Pontiac Man" from '63; it was just a b&w silkscreen, not an original.  Boy, if I could squeeze into that today!!  30-in. waist and 145 lbs -- long past!

Thanks for the Toon James, Great detail, Totally Big Daddy inspired!  Study hall... A great place to study your artwork, and you have to work with what you got for supplies.  My old notebook a case in point.  Times do change as do our sensibilities, thanks for making the point. Many things in our past are cringeworthy today.  Maybe now you can print this one out and color it in?
