I've built the 1/12 GT40 and a couple of the 1/9 bikes from Meng, and the detail is plenty crisp, and there's lots of it...

I got mine yesterday $350.00au and am very impressed so far. At this stage I have only needed to lightly glue the rocker covers. I could have done something about the mould lines but my eyes are not that good so why bother.. One days work.

Compared to the Tamiya 1/ 12 Tyrrell 003 1971 Monaco GP which I got angry with after breaking a few parts and battling with the main canopy finish which had a texture rougher than my granny's ass, I threw it in the bin.
