Stevens19 Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 My first WIP thread, I found this 1/24 scale go-kart at the thrift store a few years ago and have been wanting to turn it into a cage kart for awhile, my original intent was to scratch build a cage and a wing for it from styrene. Many projects took precedence over this one causing it to just become a "one day I'll get to it" project, it finally caught a little more traction when I got a 3d printer but still didn't make the cut for awhile. The "one day" finally came and I finally sat down and started working on it, my original idea was still the same to just make a cage and a wing, after I started that I started to realize that it just wasn't looking right which led me to completely build a whole new chassis, I had already designed a sprint car wing for some other projects so I just had to resize it, I was able to source a few parts from various other places. My finished product is definitely not 100% accurate but I did the best that I could with the references that I could find and my own limits with 3d software. I've done a few test prints, which pointed out some flaws that need fixed, I think I have gotten those fixed which I will find out for sure in a few hours. I will hopefully be able to post some updates soon with the finished prints. 4

Stevens19 Posted April 16, 2023 Author Posted April 16, 2023 Got everything printed, still need to do some clean up before painting. I forgot the engine when I was taking the photos, it has one just not pictured. 3
