58 Impala
Can anyone tell me which color Tamiya blue is close to Ford engine blue?
pack rat
Assuming you're talking 60's-era, I've seen slightly different shades of blue 1:1 examples. Some could be re-paints in a "close enough" shade, who knows? TS-15 is the closest match to the original paint on my '67 289.
espo
Another consideration would be Tamiya TS-93 Pure Blue. This color is slightly lighter than the TS-15 Blue and is also a non- metallic color. Depending on how stock you are trying to be remember that like many manufacturers the color can be slightly different from one year to the next and even from one plant to another. That new of a car could be Googled. There should be pictures, hopefully of original engines, that would give you an idea of the shade of blue you need.
