'70 Challenger by Monogram

The shaker scoop will actually fit through the Is TA hood. Here is one that I did at the age of about sixteen back in the eighties. This is the TA Challenger with the hemi and spoiler off of the '71 Cuda.

The hood opening was shaped like that. I did not need to modify it. The later Revell Challenger model, and the old AMT Yankee Challenger both came with the twin hood scoop RT hood. But I am pretty sure that they will not fit on the TA body.

That's good to know, Jamie! Is the hood opening already shaped like that, or is it your handiwork? And I'm no Mark Worman(?), but isn't there a flat hood available for the 340 cars? Or at least one with the two smaller "scoops"?

Jeff,

The hood you are talking about is the R/T hood

Harts resins has it in 24th and 25th scale.

The T/A challenger was built to promote dodge participation in SCCA trans am and the 340 six pack can only be found in that car with the fiberglass hood only

You could get the 340 4bbl with R/T hood or any big block.

Same rules for the shaker hood.

This info is if you are recreating a specific day 1 replica.

It is your model kit so if you just like the R/T hood better leave the 340 6 pack under it and call it a done deal.
