Slotto Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Great looking build. Super shiny. The interior is awesome
KWT Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Man that looks even better. Where did the Cragars come from? I may have overlooked it, but reading back through I didn't find it...
ModelcarJR Posted June 9, 2023 Author Posted June 9, 2023 Thanks, Steve and Jeremy! I appreciate your comments! Jeremy, the Cragars came from the parts box. Normally, I put wheels and tires from each kit in a baggy and mark them as to which kit they came from but in this case I failed to do that. I'm not sure what kit they came from. Thanks for looking! ? 1
1972coronet Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Great job on that JS27R0B ! Excellent colour choices ; awesome black paint ! As a side note - irrespective of your outstanding work - I notice the kit's inclusion of the shifter for the 3-speed manual. It's been that way since day one ; not sure if the later issues (the Vanishing Point release) includes the correct Pistol Grip shifter. Keep up the great work !
ModelcarJR Posted June 10, 2023 Author Posted June 10, 2023 Thanks, John! I had put a boot on a pistol grip shifter from another kit but it must have come from a 1/24th scale kit because it was way too tall on the console. This one is done! I made a convertible boot out of black masking tape over an index card cut to fit just as Steve Milberry suggested. Looks OK to me although I may try to cut another one a little bigger to crinkle it a bit. I just used the hood prop for display purposes. I previously posted photos with the hood closed. I had also tried to use a decal for the side stripe from another previous build but I could see the black ghosting through and I could tell it was going to flake off anyway because the decal is too old. Here are the final photos. 1
ModelcarJR Posted June 11, 2023 Author Posted June 11, 2023 Thanks, Steve. No I don't have any plans for the orange body and I don't think all the parts are there. I know the windshield and tailpipes are missing. Not sure about the rest of the parts. I got my money's worth out of this purchase.
David G. Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 That's one fantastic looking Challenger, well done! David G.
