Slim Louis Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 (edited) Looks like the boys are getting ready to run Trenton or Langhorne or some Race of Champions, long track, judging by the nose and rear quarter sheet metal. Underneath it's just another LB Racing, 57 Chassis, coil overs all around, small block bow-tie, headers, and my decals. Blake Rogers Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 i love it man but did you build the hole thing or use bits here and there???? i want to build something like this at one point but a dirt track racer. do you have any build up shots of this one?
Slim Louis Posted March 9, 2010 Author Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) I started with the newer tool AMT 57 Chevy "Street Machine" It has seperate frame rails and a hot rodded rear kick up for coil overs rather then leaf springs. I then used after market coil overs and the kit comes with a fuel cell. The front clip is a grafted on AMT NASCAR Front steer clip that lines up well with the 57 framerails, cut both to get the desired wheelbase. The cage and other bars are all evergreen 1/16th rod and plastruct 1/16th coated wire for the bends. Thanks for asking! Here's the link, holler and I will answer your questions! http://public.fotki.com/slimlouis/40-ford-coupe-aspha/ Edited March 9, 2010 by Slim Louis
Mooneyzs Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Very cool build. I really like how good this turned out. The car looks fantastic.
Blake Rogers Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 might give this a try one day thanks for the info man
Bernard Kron Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Always dig your stuff: the knowledge you show of your subject, the way cool chassis work (the description earlier in this thread explains a lot - thanx), the great color schemes and overall look and, as always, the decals.. Another winner!
