These chrome parts trees came in a kit that I had purchased. It had a baggy with extra parts and the two mystery chrome trees. Not really important but i'm just wondering what kit the chrome went to. The other parts in the baggy were clearly from a mustang kit, 1/24th or 1/25th. Anyone?

Some kind of open-wheel racer judging by the tubular control arms, small rollover hoop, small diameter steering wheel, and the knockoffs.

They both started out as the same tree, but the shorter one appears to have had some gates closed off on the left end...judging from the necked-down main upper and lower sprue runners.

Sorry I can't be more specific. All my open-wheel race car kits have already moved west, or I'd dig through 'em fer ya.  :D

Originally the 1963 Lotus-Ford Indy Car by IMC, which was updated a couple of times. The 1965 version was later re-issued by Testors in the "Those Famous Fords" series. The offset suspension pieces are a clue!

Thanks also to you Bill for enlightening about my mystery parts tree. Sorry I didn't see your response earlier. It was around 5am when I saw the notifications, not to with it at that time of morning after being up multiple times during the night. I truly appreciate all of the generous info and tips that flow throughout this molding community. An awesome bunch of selfless individuals. ✌?

I didn't see Bill's post at first either. The unread mark was below his post even though I never read it.

Yes, kind of odd - I didn't see Bill's post when I wrote mine last night.
