Keef Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Does anyone know what these 2 hoods are off of? I got them in a bag of assorted parts and pieces a while back and I’m curious what they are.
espo Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 The one on the left looks like it could be a MoPar Shaker Hood Scoop from a Challenger maybe. The one on the right looks like it may have been an optional hood for a Drag Race version of a kit. The shape reminds me of a mid-sixties Dodge maybe.
Mark Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Left one is MPC '70-'71 Barracuda (their Challenger kits never had a shaker hood). Right one is the optional drag version hood from MPC '73-'74 Challenger annual kits. 1

I understand, but the OP is asking where the hoods came from. You stated that the MPC Challenger didn’t come with a shaker hood, but I wanted him to be aware that the AMT kit did. That’s all. I don’t think it necessarily matters to him who the manufacturer was. Steve Edited October 22, 2023 by StevenGuthmiller
