Lyle Willits Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Inspired by a build from Bill Stillwagon about 5 years ago, I was going to cobble together a '36 Ford sedan delivery. Then I took the easy way out and bought a $10 resin tudor sedan from Flintstone. The wheels are from any number of old AMT kits. They are the chromed wheels with baby moon caps. I carefully grind away the baby moon , paint the wheel other than the trim ring, then add whatever cap I want. I made a split-back front seat and I'm making a back seat from another '36 kit. Going to build up the Olds 354 from a AMT 39/40 sedan kit. BUT,,,,,,,,,just couldn't keep my hands off the new '57 Chevy 150. Duplicolor bright Red, chromed reversed wheels from a Revell '49 Merc kit painted as shown. Seats from a '69 olds kit. It's going to have a 409 from an AMT '62 BelAir. Maybe I'll get ONE of them done before NNL EAST.
Foxer Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 I love that tudor body! will be watching The 150 could be the first 57 Chevy I build! (2 different ones in basement) I'm really liking the look of this kit the more I see.
cruz Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Oh great, I don't have time to breath these days and you are doing two projects at once, THANKS A LOT!!!! I tell ya, I don't get any respect in this forum!!!!

Fletch Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 It would seem that Mr Flintstone has come up with a body style that several of us like. I'm a little further along then Steve as I have the windows cleaned out. Not sure where I'm headed with mine so it sits on the shelf along with several other projects.
Smart-Resins Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 They both look like they will be good. The first really has my attention!! Jody
Irvin Arter Jr. Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Man I LOVE the 57! Gotta get one,two,three,four..............
