I've seen the movie 'The Lawnmower Man' a few times....... Excellent movie! I had a question about it. Was it ever made into a book? I know of a couple movies that were movies first then books. I understand the main character in the movie was loosely based on one in a short story by Mr. King. Is that story worth checking out?

Thanks for any discussion.........

"The Lawnmower Man" is a short story by Stephen King, first published in the May 1975 issue of Cavalier and later included in King's 1978 collection Night Shift.

You should be able to find a paperback copy of Night Shift in the bargain bin of any used book store or Goodwill joint, and the story shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes to read. If you can't find one, let me know and I'll see if I can find the time to find mine from 40 years ago and send it to you. ;)

Thanks, Guys!  :D

Even though I'm very interested in the Stephen King story, I really was hoping that the movie starring Pierce Brosnon (sp?) had been done as a book..... From what I understand, even though the stories share a name, the plots are very different.

again, Thank You!

WAY too much. My way is better. I wouldn't pay more than 50 cents for it...

Not worth the time to me to dig through poorly organized shelves or bins.

It's surprising how may folks today seem to be totally unaware of the concept of "alphabetical order".

Your mileage may vary.  ;)
