Looks like a great build! :o How did you like this kit? I have a kit or two of these and just haven't got one off the shelf to build it. They sure are pretty when they're done. B)

I really like your 59. Nice color. Looks awesome. The only problem I found with these kits are they have the powerglide tranny in them. I like the three speed or four speed tranny's. I had a 1:1 with the three speed and a 348. Man that thing would fly. Dan

Great foil work there! I have a white over red hardtop (after the one I owned) in the shop that just needs foil to finish. These chrome beasts are really a major foil job. Was a stressful time when I started and the corners of the wings were giving problems so I put it aside and has been sitting for years. Maybe time to start anew seeing it CAN be done!

Totally sweet build, man!

I built the RM lowrider version recently. I know how tough it is to foil these 59's.

You did a great job on yours. It looks very real.

I like the colour, too.

Are these convertibles still available, or will I need to find one on eBay?

AFAIK the convertible hasn't been available for a while for some reason, just the hardtop. They can be found on the 'Bay------don't pay a bunch of money for one as there were tons of 'em made.

I'd like to see Revell make a convertible out of the '60 as well, but a conversion shouldn't be too hard.

Did this kit come with skirts??

Yes, the kit did originally come with skirts as well as the hardtop.

Phillo... I'm stealing your thread!! (nice '59 though B) )

Bill, Here's my efforts on the '60 from a few years back. It wasn't as easy as hacking the roof off... the trunk had to be shortened, and I grafted in the area around the boot cover from the convertible. The trunk and area ahead of it is a lot flatter on the converts than the hard top. I built this before I was on the online forums, so I am aware of lots of mistakes on it now! I didn't correct the spare tire issue either!
