Chang, so glad I can get in early so I can use words that will be repeated several times over. That is amazing! Everything just looks 'right' about it, and it's so cleanly built.

Appreciate the compliment!

Excellent build. Your paint is absolute perfection.

Thank you! I always have issues finishing flat surface as it always seem to have some kind of minor distortion no matter how much I sand. This one was better but still have some weird surfacing issues on the front hood.

Hi Chang,

another great model from you, congrats!

It seems like we chose to build the same 1:1... one of my recent Tamiya builds was done in the same color combo (although the Tamiya kit is of course much less detailed). I also chose the brown-orange (or is it orange-brown?) interior to go with the Oro Metallizzato Longchamps.

I used a mix of Tamiya acrylics to create the colors, how did you do it?

Thanks! Tamiya kit is impressive given it's 40+ year old mould. I mixed couple of different lacquer colors (red, yellow, tan and brown) for the interior.

That is beautiful, especially the paint!  You're talking about sanding the bare plastic, correct? Did you sand the silver before you shot the color coat?

I wet sanded the bare plastic, sprayed the silver, sanded again to remove some deep scratches and laid another coat of silver as a base coat.

That is a stunning Countach. I love the colour and the paint work is beautifully done. Very nice clean work. This is quite simply a gorgeous model of a sports car icon. I love it!

I really dig the LP400, though all other iterations of the Countach leave me cold. Once they started tagging wings and flares and gills on it, ruining those gorgeous original lines, I lost all interest. The LP400 also had the nicest looking of all Countach wheels, which are only 14". This requires a fat sidewall tire, which has a dramatic effect on the look of the early Countach.

I agree - LP400 is the best looking Countach period.

This one is just phenomenal. You should see if Lamborghini will buy it from you!

They're too busy restoring 1:1!

Superb model of the nicest Countach of all - this is the benchmark for any LP 400 and I will keep your pictures for future reference.

Marvellous color !

Thank you! I find transparent colour on top of silver always looks better.

beautiful!! looks like a tough build but you nailed it.

It was surprisingly easy build - very little fitting issues and annoying masking!

Model my aunt fanny, admit it, you drove this incredibly beautiful, supremely shiny and built to within gnats breath of obscenity to the photo shoot, beautiful job sir, so very well executed, luvit.

Kind regards

A great model made with attention to detail.
I see you're not the first person to have trouble fitting the doors correctly..

Thank you! There's no mechanism to hold the door in place so I decided to just leave it open!

Well, you are in good company… larger areas are my biggest concern as well. I’m going to try thinning the paint a little more and/or perhaps giving the colour coat a light spray with 100% Mr. Levelling Thinner as I’ve heard this can reduce orange peel.
