That's more a wheelstander truck than a race truck and it ended up with Tyrone Malone who repainted it pink and I don't believe it was used much with him other than as a display. It's only the rear axle that's driven as far as I know, through an Allison automatic and a V-drive. Gary Reis in Hastings Minnesota owns it now together with some other Malone cars and trucks and it's on display at his museum. Edited January 21, 2024 by Force 1
TonyK Posted January 21, 2024 Posted January 21, 2024 We need more racing trucks like this but I realize the market may be too small for the model companies to take a chance. They did a few of the European racing trucks and they quickly disappeared so...... 2

AMT offered a very nice Allison engine as a stand-along kit, but hard to find now. It was also made available in two different Competition Parts Packs, and these are readily available ebay, etc. Prices are a bit high on the current offerings, around $40-$60, but good deals do come up from time to time. The engine was also available in a Thunderbird funny car called Allison Thunderland, and was reissued a number of years ago, but they go for more money than the Parts Packs. I'm no business man but you'd think as the years passed and these models are hard to find, they might reissue them again. Obviously they sold out. But, when Revell released the Joey Saldana Sprint Car I wrote to them suggesting they come out with many more of the models with different sponsors. They replied but the answer wasn't promising and we never saw another version after that. 1

After Tyrone Malone bought the rig and added the thing behind the cab and the air foil, it looks like a customized International CO-4070B. Defiance as it looks today. Gary Chastain Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Can’t wait to see this come together. If you need any Freightliner cab parts, let me know. I have bought a couple kits to steal frame, drive and axles from, but have no use for all the cab stuff.

Scott Eriksen Posted March 17, 2024 Author Posted March 17, 2024 I was checking out Guaranteed Towing's Facebook page (I'm thinking about doing one of their wreckers) and found a pic of them at Englishtown Diesel Truckin' Nationals years ago 1
