OldTrucker Posted January 25, 2024 Posted January 25, 2024 Melanie Safka passed away yesrerday at the age of 76. Loved her songs especially Laydown Laydown (Candles in the Rain) and Brand New Key.

CaddyDaddy Posted January 26, 2024 Posted January 26, 2024 She grew up and started her career here in New Jersey. Everybody in the state has a “back in the day” story about Springsteen, Bon Jovi, and George Clinton. Never a mention of Melanie. Strange.
