junkyardjeff Posted February 18, 2024 Posted February 18, 2024 Picked up a built but falling apart Monogram 39 Chevy sedan delivery and going to get rid of the late 70s street rod vibe,it has that period of bucket seats and I presume that it would of had bucket seats or would it have came with a bench seat. Is there a kit made that would have period bucket seats.
stitchdup Posted February 18, 2024 Posted February 18, 2024 I used the bench from an italeri opel truck in mine but its a not very detailed bench from a truck so it probably wouldn't have been but it fits with the style of the dash and door cards. The seats from a 40 ford or similar era car should work though. 1
bobss396 Posted February 18, 2024 Posted February 18, 2024 The AMT '34 Ford kit has a nice set of buckets in it.
junkyardjeff Posted February 18, 2024 Author Posted February 18, 2024 I think a coupe version was made and did it come with a bench seat or did it have the same bucket seats. I presume the molds were made about the same time.
junkyardjeff Posted February 18, 2024 Author Posted February 18, 2024 Looking on eBay answered that question, the coupe has bucket seats
Mark Posted February 18, 2024 Posted February 18, 2024 Stock, it probably would have had only a drivers' seat. The passenger seat would have been an option.
junkyardjeff Posted February 18, 2024 Author Posted February 18, 2024 I looked through my parts and I have the seats from the 34 Ford pickup and they resemble the seats that were in my dad's 39 Plymouth sedan delivery so it will be them or a seat from the Monogram 41 Lincoln. The AMT 40 Ford sedan delivery comes with a bench seat but doubt it came with one from the factory,AMT probably did not want to mold a correct seat since not too many would know.
