LDO Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 Just cockpit and engine pics. The LHS had a builtup for $5.00. I ordered a new decal sheet from Spot Model in Spain. I’m pretty excited ??
dwc43 Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 Depends on what version you want. That name goes back to the 60's. They even ran a jet turbine engine in those boats.
LDO Posted March 4, 2024 Author Posted March 4, 2024 Wow! Thank you. I ordered the decals from Spot Model in Spain.
dwc43 Posted March 4, 2024 Posted March 4, 2024 More than welcome. Send me a link when you do a WIP or finish it up. I'd like to see it.

Unfortunately it was among the 50 or so models that my little brother and his buddies absolutely trashed while I was at work one day. Edited March 7, 2024 by NitroMarty
fiatboy Posted March 15, 2024 Posted March 15, 2024 Now I know where my 1/24 resin RR Merlin V12, WW2, engine came from. Alan Raab apparently made copies of this engine. At one time I think he had available the Packard WW2 Merlin. Where did that one come from?? Interesting post.

This assumes that the stated scale for each is correct. Their old Spitfire may have had a Merlin, also. I believe their new(ish) Spitfire has a Merlin, too. Hmmm I wonder about their 1/24 Mosquito from about ten years ago??
