Has anyone completed a build of this kit?

I don't know how they expect the assembled interior tub to be inserted into the body shell...the assembled tub is both wider and longer than the opening at the bottom of the body shell.

I've broken the interior sidewalls off several times trying to get this interior tub inserted, the body shell.

Tried sliding the tub in at an angle rear part first...but the front overhangs...won't go in.

Really frustrating.

Is the firewall already installed?

I pulled it off, still has a problem, and the dashboard is a tad too wide to fit the body shell as well, so I filed the left and right ends of the dashboard off.

If I wrestle the thing in, by spreading the sides of the body shell open, it might slide in  - but it is putting stress on the parts....

I don't think this part of the kit was well designed - the bottom of the left and right sides of the body shell curve inward....making it too narrow to easily slide the interior tub in.

Very difficult assembly - Maybe that's why I don't see many of these kits around.

I don’t attach the floor to the door panels, I glue the panels directly to the body shell and trim off the tabs to mount to the floor pan.

I'll give it a try.

Same here - since I discovered that trick I’ve used it on all kinds of kits - works great on the kits it works on!

Found this old review of the kit, and the interior fit.

Admits to the challenge (difficulty) of getting the assembled interior tub inserted into the body shell.

There apparently are ways to do it...I found this method to work only after filing down sides of the dashboard

(you can see the right and left sides of the dashboard protruding in the picture) and filing down parts of the interior tub rear sidewalls while stretching the sides

of the body shell open at the front while working the interior in.
