Safire6 Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 My mother in law got this for me for Christmas 15 months ago. Made from 739 pieces of .150” thick laminated wood pieces. It’s 13.8” long and has opening doors, windows roll up and down, opening hood and trunk with latches, wipers operate with a knob, working front and rear suspension, operating forward and reverse gears, steerable front wheels, and tiltable seat backs. Wind it up with the mechanism in the trunk and it will go forward or in reverse depending on the position of the column mounted shift lever. The pistons in the V-8 move up and down when it’s moving. Comes with a tool kit and operating jack. Not something I would normally build, but it was a different type of challenge. 2
bh1701 Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 A very interesting model. Something you don't see every day!
Yeah Nah Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 Wow! What an amazing project. All those working features too. Better gift than the cheap aftershave I always get from the in-laws! Thanks for sharing.

XYHARRY Posted March 6, 2024 Posted March 6, 2024 Steve, that is one very interesting model and would have been fun to build. Well done. Cheers, David. ??
