Traveling to Indianapolis - anyone from the area have any tips?

Going to be in Indianapolis area this week with family and want to visit the speedway. Looks like tours are throughout the day but anyone in the area have any tips for us tourists?

There are multiple top fuel & funny cars teams based in Brownsburg, might be able to tour some of those?

I did visited the track when in Indy last year. 

The museum is excellent, make sure you have plenty of space for pics on your phone! Lots to see there.

I figured for the $20 or whatever it cost, I might as well do the track tour. So I got to get on the bus and do a lap of the track.

I enjoyed it.

Did not kiss the bricks, but I did touch them.

 

All in all, an excellent place to spend an afternoon!
