SCUDERIA-FERRARI Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 (edited) This is the studio 27 f430 kit. RISI COMPETIZIONE from LE MANS 2007. body is all painted and rubbed out. i had to putty up alot of the ducts on the hood of the car because the 2007 lm car didnt have some of them in the race. primed white then sprayed tamiya ts-25 pink. the ts-8 italian red. then the clear. chasis wise all ive got done is the interior. sprayed ts-76 mica silver. ignition boxes wired and carbon fiber. back of the seat carbon an the belts on it. dash is ts-6 matte black with some carbon with all the switches painted. same with the steering wheel. theres an etch horse emblem on the wheel, also red wires wrapped around the steering collom. etch pedals. got a air duct blowing some air to the driver. i had a few probs getting the roll cage together, i had to do some tweeking to get it right. its going together pretty good other then that. i hate studio's kick with white metal...... Foxer Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Looking good. Sure a lot of detail in that interior! Excuse my Studio 27 ignorance, but is this a 1/25 ?
SCUDERIA-FERRARI Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 *UPDATE* the engine is done now. ive started on the rest of the body. heres a few shots of the wheels. abviously you can see what the problem is that im facing when trying to get it to set right. heres a few more of the wheels since they were the wrong diameter i had to wrap a strip of sheet plastic around the wheel. i had to rob some slick tires from another tamiya kit. stay tuned for more...
