Paul Payne Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 Finally finished! After looking at the photos, I noticed the hood is not sitting quite right. Anyone else have this problem, and is there a fix? Included a comparison shot with a stock 39 I picked up at a flea market. Final touch- pulling a teardrop trailer! 6
ncbuckeye67 Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 Looking good! It looks like there's some flash on the driver's side fender, near the firewall. Try trimming with an exacto blade or sanding it. Maybe check the underside of the hood on that same side as well.
XYHARRY Posted April 21, 2024 Posted April 21, 2024 Cool custom there Paul, the teardrop trailer looks good too. Cheers, David. ??
bobss396 Posted April 21, 2024 Posted April 21, 2024 I like it, has great proportions. The AMT hoods need a lot of fitting to have them sit right. I have added plastic to the sides of a couple I did.
Zippi Posted April 21, 2024 Posted April 21, 2024 Pretty kewl 39 Ford Paul. Nice looking tear drop trailer.
Paul Payne Posted April 21, 2024 Author Posted April 21, 2024 Thanks, all, I will figure out the hood, and maybe smooth out the paint- looks worse in the photos than up close and personal.
FoMoCo66 Posted April 21, 2024 Posted April 21, 2024 This car came out really good. It looks like it was a tough car to chop.
FoMoCo66 Posted April 21, 2024 Posted April 21, 2024 Oh I saw it and I thought what you did was tough and it came out great. Your really good at body work my friend.
