2006 General Lee

Clay-

Looking great. Now I see why you wanted my 06 Charger. Where did you get the resin 2dr? Did you use the Faux Fabrics paint for the interior. IMO that engine cover needs a decal (Like an 01 or a rebel flag?????). Try painting the wheels black to see how that would look. Keep it up.

i think if you were to get these rims in chrome they might look halfway decent :)

If I'm not mistaken, those are them little 13 inch lowrider donut wheels and would look sorta goofy on a Charger, ESPECIALLY a General Lee!!! :)

I think the stock wheels are perfectly fine, but you might think about hittin' em with some dullcote.

Man it feels good to sleep late every once in a while.

To answer some questions. I will be using old General Lee decals, and if they dont work, I found a picture of some kinda custom decals on the internet. Our own Harry reworked them for me.

Yes West Coast Customs did make one but I dont like theirs. I dont like the blacked out flag and numbers. Side note: anyone see their wide body convertable 2009 Challenger they did? THat think is sweet.

I got the resin kit from Time Machine Resin. It is a super Clean kit. Comes with the interior door panels, new hood, body w/ the gas cap moved from the side to the top of the left rear fender like the 69 Charger. Also comes with the gas cap.

He also has an account on here. T.M.Resin

Clay, your Charger is looking good! I'm going to have to add this to my "I want to build some day list" And yes Dodge should have done a 2 door!! And if you can put something on the eng. cover I think it would look much better as well and I have a H.O. scale decale of that flag. I'll take a photo and post it here.

Thanks Marty, but those look to be a little too big for the engine cover. I think I will just put the Dodge emblem on it until I find something else.

I got a few things done on this today. Not much though. Mock up pics.

An engine shot, I added the air box.

Ran into a problem. As I was putting the wheels on, I discovered that the left rear axle wasnt fully seated, found it the hard way. As I was pushing it on the axle bent and the "hub", I guess, broke off. I plan on trying to fix this with some aluminum stock but I dont have the time right now.

This is the last update for about a week or so. I will be in Havelock North Carolina for some training if all goes well.

Later.

It looks like I will be there. I will be the one with a green and brown double stroller in an orange van.

So, there I was thinking that there were no kits that I could wrap up easy and quick until I was moving my pile of model boxes from one shelf to another when I saw this in its box, then I remembered I just bought some more Huggar Orange. So I put the first light coat on and hopefully I will be putting on a few more in a little bit.

HOpefully this will be in my puny 6 car wall case soon as well as the 69 Charger General Lee.

Hi Clay,

I like your idea, but If you Don't mind I have 2 bones to pick with you, Are you going to be using a set of amaerican racing vectors? And If I was you i wouldn't put the spiler on, and this is just sort of a idea but Maybe you should paint the tail panel semi gloss black the '69 GL's.
