LAone Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 Here's another one I had going for a while. I had finished the YonMeri in 2018, a year later we packed up and left California for good ol' Texas. the building came to a halt as I had to put some stuff in storage. slowly I pulled stuff out and managed to finish this one during the shut down. good times 2020 haha. this one is from Hasegawa. this was a fun one to do. It was my first independent rear swap. I love to camber my builds for fun. I added fender flares that came from another kit. still had to add some epoxy putty to make them fit better. also a BRE front spoiler from a Revell 510 kit. the wheels are steelies M-style Orange Wheels from Asuka Model that I widened using barrels from the D-style wheel set. tires are Aoshima lo-profile stretch. wish I had taken a better pic of the interior but the bucket seats are from Aoshima, Nardi deep corn from Asuka, and a scratch made "wink" panel mirror which has lately been my favorite part to make for my builds. the patina paint is all tamiya military paints just sanded back layer and then weathered a bit with their weathering sets and Citadel washes. 9
espo Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 The "paint" finish looks like this has seen more than a few sandstorms and been left to bake in the sun in Victorville or Palm Springs. The wheel well flares and the front spoiler are smoothly done. Like the wheel and tire combo. 1
