Phildaupho Posted June 16, 2024 Posted June 16, 2024 Here is a link to photos from the Vancouver BC NNL style model car show. It was not large but there were some very well built models. 2024 MODEL CAR SHOW album | Phildaupho | Fotki.com, photo and video sharing made easy. 1
Claude Thibodeau Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Hi Phil! Thanks for the pix. You are right: much quality here! The great outdoors vehicles are impressive, and I even saw what appears to be a 77 Ford Ranchero. I suppose it's resin, since I don't remember ever seing this kit? CT

CT Hi Claude - Unfortunately I did not take photos of the Vancouver Islander and Okanagan models including my own that I have previously featured in my newsletter to give you a true picture of the show. Gerry Chevalier who once produced resin kits as Mini Exotics is back at it as a retirement activity. He has a full scale Ranchero so passenger car based pickups are his favourite subjects.

Thanks for the tip on Mr. Chevalier. I would like to send him pics of my numerous "utes" mash-ups built over the years. Some might make him smile, who knows? CT
kelson Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 I attended and it was a great show!!,hopefully they can have a show next year around the same time, makes driving down from the interior easier and safer.?
Gord55 Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 I really enjoyed the show, great bunch of folks and some terrific builds. Shopping was pretty darn good too! I picked up the Revell/Monogram re-pop of the Aurora Ford GT (Great looking kit except for the really skinny tires) and a Monogram Essex Wire Cobra, plus a plethora of odds and sods. Another well run event by the Automotive Model Builders and Collectors of Greater Vancouver (Official club name).
