Mr mopar Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 (edited) I would love to see any 3D or Resin casters do a cab like this ? Edited July 24, 2024 by Mr mopar 1
bamadon Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 To me, that looks more like a '35 Ford pickup. But I could be wrong.

68shortfleet Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Would be a cool build, but I just can't see this selling enough copies to make it worth the effort(hours of labor) to the guy making the master and resin casting. Much more possible in 3d print, but getting the cowl to match up to kit parts to use the hood/hood sides/grill and kit fenders might also be a challenge. With that said, I too, would like to build that truck and have considered making the master and casting it regardless of its profitability. 1
68shortfleet Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 Started some work on a cab of this style over the last couple days. Used an AMT 34 5w body and shortened the greenhouse a bunch, then chopped the roof 3mm. Not quite the same as the California Kid Express. Much rounder at the top/rear of the cab. 4
68shortfleet Posted March 10 Posted March 10 (edited) Managed to get this build finished. Not going to be casting the body though. Was a fun build, but i wasn't able to get happy with the wheels, so i modified the axle ends and back/inside of the wheels so the wheels are held on with magnets. This way I can swap them out if the right wheel comes to my vision. Edited March 10 by 68shortfleet 5
