My roadster went in the pond yesterday. 😡 Sorry to hear about your roadster woes Jim.😳 I can’t recall what I last used the Tamiya clear on? I believe it is quite hot also. Edited August 15 by NOBLNG

NOBLNG Posted Thursday at 07:32 PM Author Posted Thursday at 07:32 PM I’ve been adding some of the details to this one. And I am finally getting the wheels permanently attached. 2
Big Messer Posted Friday at 02:22 AM Posted Friday at 02:22 AM Nice work!. I did a '57 many moons ago. Now I am pondering the idea of doing another, but to higher standards. One thing I may try would be making the tailgate closer to vertical to look more like the regular station wagon. 1
Big Messer Posted Friday at 12:36 PM Posted Friday at 12:36 PM Also like the trick for getting the wheels straight. Live and learn... 1

slusher Posted Friday at 06:45 PM Posted Friday at 06:45 PM Beautiful color Greg, looking forward too the finished product! 1
NOBLNG Posted Sunday at 07:31 PM Author Posted Sunday at 07:31 PM The chassis and the body are now permanently mated (I hope😬). After having the radiator in and out about a dozen times I got a couple of rad hoses made to fit and added an antifreeze recovery tank. 7
NOBLNG Posted 19 hours ago Author Posted 19 hours ago The grill is in, the wood bed is in, the door handles are on and the mirrors are located and just waiting for the glue to dry. Once the license plate is attached it will be done. 3
customline Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago That's a cool technique for installing mirrors, Greg. My guess is they were too small to drill. I hope I remember it 🥴

Ahh...sometimes the mirrors are just too small to pin. I figured that was the case. So this is a way to attach and aim the mirrors. I think I might have some 1" angle out in the garage. If I can find it. 1
NOBLNG Posted 16 hours ago Author Posted 16 hours ago Yeah, the mirrors are two piece units that I stole from the Foose Impala. The mirrors sections are too thin to pin.
NOBLNG Posted 10 minutes ago Author Posted 10 minutes ago (edited) I am calling this one done.🥵 Thanks to everyone for your support and input along the journey.🙂 More pics under glass here: https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/203136-1955-el-camino/#comment-3068281 Edited 9 minutes ago by NOBLNG
