Funkychiken Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 This one was finished up in April Another great little kit from Airfix with reasonable detail considering its a 1:32 scale kit. Finished in Tamiya red & white aerosol and clear-coated in Zero 2K - it did require a lot of sanding and polishing out, but it didn't burn through anywhere. Pictured also with its competitor from Airfix. I'm guessing these were designed to be converted to slot car racers. WIP can be seen at this link: 3
Jim B Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 That's pretty cool. Never realized that Mini raced in the WRC. 1
bisc63 Posted August 30, 2024 Posted August 30, 2024 That would be an impressive model in 1/24; it is doubly so in 1/32! Well done. 1
slowbird Posted August 30, 2024 Posted August 30, 2024 Very nice! I built that same two-pack a couple of years ago; the decals were very involved to say the least. Yours came out really well; I messed up the paint on my Mini and sort of salvaged it by covering it in mud ? 1
echo Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 What a nice Mini, I always enjoy seeing how people approach building the Mini, yours came out quite well, I am more impressed with a model of a small car in a small scale, well done. 1
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted September 15, 2024 Posted September 15, 2024 Great. Fun to see the competition markings. That for showing. 1
