Of the 12 original AWB cars that Amblewagon built for Chrysler I'm pretty sure that 9 were automatics and three were 4 speed cars.

I believe that in the process the drive trains for each those cars as well as some body panels came from A990 donor cars.

The original cars were delivered with 2x4barrel cross ram intakes - Injectors were added after cars were delivered.

If memory serves me right all six Dodges went to teams and 5 Plymouths were delivered to teams while one of the Plymouths was retained by Chrysler as a testing Mule- (seems to me it ended up sent to one of the teams to replace a wrecked car)

The AWB cars were originally built with 8 3/4 Chrysler rear ends but every photo we've been able to find of survivors ( and most clones) show Dana rear ends  we have good photos of at least three survivors and all have Danas.

The Strickler car was one of the three original 4 speed cars therfore it has the 4 speed - on the Plymouth side - the Golden Commands AWB cars were Automatics therfoer the Plymouth AWB kit has the automatic.

It's also quite likely that some automatic cars got converted to 4 speed cars.
