Making good progress, Scott - great job on the rad and CAC setup. (might be able to get a package on its way to you by end of December!)

Thanks Brian!

Scott you have been very busy covering a lot of ground. I have to agree with Jeff it’s a beautiful engine and spot on too. I like the Mack Filters you added and the color and shape of the fan is perfect. Like I mentioned I drove a CHN613 with a MP7 some of the Sleepers had MP8. My first encounter with the MP8 with the Mdrive automatic transmission was around 2014 when St. Louis Mack dropped off their new test truck for my boss to test out. He picked me to be the Guinea pig. The only draw back I didn’t like it had super singles on it.

Merry Christmas guys......... did a bit last night and this morning,,,installed the KW front axle...it will work ,wasn't sure and test fitted Jamie's front floats ,,,looks like measure twice and cut once worked on centering the axle,,good guess work too, height looks about right have to see once the rears are in place, lol, hogged out the interior tub and the cab fits with the engine in place so I should be ok,,,and I had to swap the oil pan to a rear sump to clear the axle ..which I figured I had to do anyway,,cobbled up an A/C condenser and trans cooler and I guess I have to make slack adjusters and brake chamber push rods which Revell neglected to do .Extended front of frame for push bumper and winch,,I have a KFS winch which I think I can modify to fit

No bench time today,,,had to work ,,,my part time gig is turning out to be more an overtime gig ! ......I'll just have more $$ for the hobby thats all ,lol ,,,but anyway,,,I found this video,,,I'll do my under reach pretty much like this has,,the 600 Holmes kinda gets lost in there! ,,,,looks like a little bit of this and a little bit of that,,,that old KW has a lot of stories to tell no doubt!

............well on top of the hollow air bags(putty took care of those) we have 4 hollow rear 30/30 chambers, I found 4 in my parts bin ,,,have to come up with slacks,,had 2 slacks for the front,,,I think they were from CTM ,,have to round up some more. Assembled some more parts on the rears and added some nut and bolt detail ,,fabbed an intermediate shaft out of aluminum tube .Got some roll around parts bins for Christmas,,they fit under my benches so that will work out great and free up room on the top,,,,sorting out my boxes of parts little by little

Seems to me the brake chambers and slacks or lack there of is a weak point on these expensive kits. We are in desperate need of good scale brake chambers and slack adjusters with brackets. In this day when we are landing on Mars why do these companies skimp on hollow brake chambers and air bags ? But still charge top dollar for their kits. Hhhmmmm🤔

Well , despite all that , you are doing an exemplary job on this truck. A pleasure to watch.

I got a few sets of these coming from Paul at ST ,,, so I'll do as much as I can on the frame and wait till I get those, plenty of work to do in the mean time ,probably massage the cab and get it painted. The Moebius trailer kit I did had some nice brake parts and air bags.

Those brake parts will definitely be an improvement over the kit pieces.

I'm in the same raft waiting for parts to arrive to really push the build to paint.

Looking forward to your progress

Scott, I’m sure you know but don’t forget to nip the caging bolts off those brake chambers. 😋

Yeah I'm shaving them off flat 104725029

Knowing what I do about brake chambers and how they can explode under the right conditions, when ever I’m following a truck I ALWAYS look at the brake chambers and try to stay well back …… just in case.

Coming together nicely Scott . Great attention to the chassis details!  I may to build a wrecker for my fleet, or maybe  a heavy rescue wrecker like  Miami dade, or LA has……….hmmmmmm.   Hope to get back to  my bench soon.

..........well I worked a couple hours today then came home and the wife and I de-Christmas'd the house ,which is always fun (rolling eye smiley again) I took the outside stuff down yesterday ,,,,thats as much fun as putting it up..if not more ......(picture Chevy Chase...National Lampoon...get my drift ..lol ) put that stuff away which led to a full clean up of the basement storage room. I did manage to do some on the wrecker,,,some I did last night,,,the Revell Chrome , massaged the cab got most of the print lines sanded out and started drilling for the horns,,etc .Started painting the interior tub,,,did a final test shot of the Sikkens FDNY red paint and the mix ratio nailed down 1:1:1/4 paint-reducer-hardener. Making the mirror brackets out of aluminum and use the KW kit mirror heads ,,, see what tomorrow brings !............ohhhhh and I had to fill the air horns,,,they were hollow too
