Trio of PT Cruisers

Representing a drag version, a comtemporary version and an older-school version. These 1:24 scalers were fun to imagine and to modify. Wonder what the "Flowmaster" would do in the 1000 feet track now?

Nice models.   :D

I know it's popular to hate on PT Cruisers, but I really like them.

They're fuel-efficient, they ride nice, they're quick enough and handle well enough to be fun to drive, and they're comfortable and practical on long trips.

Only downside is some unnecessarily difficult maintenance procedures (the required timing belt replacements in particular), and the fact so many were made, kinda like Mustangs, that you used to pass yourself coming and going.

It would seem the majority have been junked by now though, because the cost of doing the T-belt got to the point it exceeded the value of the vehicles, and the lowballers just drove 'em until they quit.

But like Mustangs, they were different and cool for their time period, and good ones will most likely begin to increase in value as they become "rare".
