Here is my first attempt at a real cloth scale mexican blanket. The cloth is something I got at work called a Tekwipe. It's a thin lint-free cloth, that we use around the machines. Tomorrow I'll add the the white fringe at the end with some double faced tape and white thread and call it done. The colors were done with FabricMate superfine fabric markers. About $10 for a set of six.

What do you think? Does it look right? I'm sorta on the fence, I guess I'll have to see what it looks like on the model.

George, thanks for the ataboys. If you Google Tekwipe you will get several companies that supply these. Contec and ITW Texwipe are two such. I do not think you could find these at your local hardware store. Maybe a local friend that works in a manufacturing facility or machine shop could grab you some. They are VERY expensive. It is a tightly woven polyester blend that doesn't shed any lint. The markers I did indeed buy at Michaels. They were superfine fabric markers.

I'm glad you liked the "mexicany" look. :P I did some Google Image research before I drew the pattern, to be sure that I did something that looked authentic. Check out my 40 Ford PU thread, I've started scratching my surfboards last night. Pics soon.
