2 questions on some kits, did either the AMT or MPC 70 Camaros ever have a molded in vinyl roof on the kit? Did the promos have a molded in vinyl roof? A friend recently picked up a 70 Camaro that he says has a molded in vinyl roof and the hood is open, I have not seen the model in person but the picture he showed me has a vinyl roof that I could not tell if it was molded and the hood is opening and has a close fit so not sure if it was cut open! Second does the last release of the Lindbergh 1/8 scale T that does not have chrome parts have a styrene interior, roof and seats or is it still the flexible vinyl or what ever the original was made from. This is the one Ollie’s gad a couple years back! Thanks in advance guys!

There seems to have been a 1970 annual/promo kit with a hard top. I've come across mentions of it sometimes. I imagine it's pretty rare these days.

AMT did the promo for '70, it had a vinyl roof.  It was the full-width single front bumper (non-RS) version.   The hood was a separate part on the promo, not molded as a unit with the body as with most promos.

MPC also did a '70 kit, same front end but no vinyl roof.  It was not an annual kit, but was packaged as the "Camaro Super Hugger".

MPC got the promo contract for '71 and changed their Camaro to the split bumper RS version, for both promo and kit.  AMT did not do a '71 kit but instead continued to produce and sell the '70 kit through '71.  Same box (no year on any of them), same stock number.  They did the same with their Corvette kits, having lost that promo deal to MPC also.
