Matt T. Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 With only a few hours a week, it's a long slow process but I got the colors on the bike this past weekend. The red is Tamiya Metallic Red over their Light Gunmetal. The seat is still bare styrene, but I'm thinking Wimbledon White with Satin clear for that and the grips. Gotta have a springer More pix here: http://fivets.fotki.com/my_projects/revell_112_bobber/
Ray Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Looking good, keep uo the great work. I still have yet to get me one of thiese kits. Even though I love what all you guys are doing with them.
Randy Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 That's looking killer. Where did the springer come from?
PatRedmond Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 That's looking killer. Where did the springer come from? Shaker Trike, IIRC.
Rick Forrester Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 papafo here, very cool love the springer. have four of the sharker kit comming. did you have to shorten or change? I'm doing the trike for the build off. and want to put a springer on one of them. 8)
Matt T. Posted October 26, 2006 Author Posted October 26, 2006 Thanks guys. Actually, the springer is from a 1/12 Imex Bad Boy. That's the out-of-box length. It's a little too long for the kit it comes with, but perfect for the choppers! I have a Shaker Trike, and plan to use that springer fork on my Aces Wild build next. Chop on...
Matt T. Posted October 26, 2006 Author Posted October 26, 2006 Ken, I think you're right. Light tan with brown Sharpie "stitching" for a baseball glove look. Right on!
Stingray69 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Very cool so far! I really like the colors you're using 8)
