owh. but the car is really nice..too bad price of the 350Z here is too darn expensive..

How much there? They are $30,000-$39,000 USD, which is a good price considering the performance. I don't think there is anything faster for less $$, though the new WRX is probably close (it actually tests faster to accelerate than STI) but it's been hit by an ugly stick.

Due to the insane tax structure here, they cost up to RM160k, which translate roughly into $45,000 USD, for a second hand unit.

Even the 1/18s and 1/24s are not spared ! Tamiya, Aoshima kits costs around $40 USD

The Tamiya 370Z, at 3400 yen, will come into the US with a retail price probably approaching $60; the Carrera GT lists for 3400 yen and is $54 USD and the 350Z NISMO is 3000 yen and $52 USD. A Tamiya FXX is $71 USD. Needless to say hobbyshop prices like this keep online sources like Hobbylink in business.

US retail prices for Tamiya/Aoshima/Fujimi are brutal, due to import costs and an extra distribution channel to take their cut.

Sound oh-so-familiar to my country's tax rates in order to protect the local car scene. If I'm not mistaken, Revell/AMT/ERTL kits are very very cheap, right? Say less than $20USD for a Mustang.

I absolutly LOVE LOVE LOVE the new 370Z. The lights are a little weird but other than that B)

Faster, lighter, and pretty much the same price of a Mustang and faster than the GTR, my kind of car. If I had the money, this would probably be my purchase. ;)

Faster than a GTR? A GTR will spank this car silly, 0-60, quarter mile, you name it.

Regardless, I'd rather have the Z car, even if I could pay for a GTR. There's a point where all that excess HP and capability is absolutely useless on public roads. The Z is more fun to drive daily at sane speeds.

I love the Z as well, I hated those lights in photos, but in person they work. Same w/the Maxima. I got over that hatred pretty fast!

My next object of spite is the Ferrari California. I'm pretty certain I'll hate it even in person (the back half of the car makes me nauseous). Tomorrow I find out in person if I'm right or not at the Ferrari Challenge race at Road Atlanta. The California will be there B) . And I'll finally get to see the FXX's in person and at speed ;)

I'm with you. ;)

I read it didn't make NEAR as much horspower as they claimed and Sport Compact Car proved it, they dynoed it in 418-420HP over 500 BRAKE, but not wheel horsepower and Grassroots Motorsports was one of a few that gave a real test and just didn't say, aww man this will smoke anything and is the best, they gave it a real rating and says that it is overrated and popular just becasue it's the new GTR and it's not set out to be what it's really like, which I totally agree and as tested by countless magazines almost 4000 pounds and if you touch a button it will void the warranty and self impload! B) There you go Chris!!

The Z has 6 speed standard, with a Sport upgrade package, 332 hp/270 lb ft of torque, zero to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds, RWD, less running gear, you CAN turn traction control off, and weighs 3,232 pounds and is $50-$60,000 less. I just thinks it's funny how a sport compact magazine, even isn't that impressed.

That is one of the coolest new cars we have today! I like the design of the headlights, how the main lights blend into the sides for, I assume turn-signals? Also, look's like it has Vampire-teeth in the air-dam! I bet you could fit a nice set of 20's there!

^^^^^^^^^^^^Nice! Fujimi please! What I love about Fujimi, is 80% of their cars have optional left/right hand steering dashboards! Well, dont' know if 80% is acurate but you know. So yes, please Fujimi! I love that 370 Z! What I like about it, is it still look's like a Z, but refined! :) Unlike what Scooby did to their STI and made it look too much Focus-like. :(

Erm. May I know why you said Fujimi?

Fujimi's latest kits are at least as good as Tamiya's, and they're less expensive. Their GTR is better than Tamiya's (cleaner body, more detail, cheaper price), I believe Fujimi would do a better job on the 370Z and it would be less expensive than Tamiya.

I don't expect Fujimi to do the 370, but one never knows. Aoshima might do it. We shall see...

Aoshima would be just as nice. My only comment about Fujimi models is as I've said before, their the only ones that I know of that offer left and right hand steering.
